MR. LEON RUSSELL (A ROCK STAR)
Leon is our official shelter mascot, meeter and greeter and all around wonderful boy. We decided several years ago that we could never give him up. He’s just too special and he is very happy living in our sanctuary. He gets a lot of attention and is very helpful with other cats. He’s laid back and easy going.
Rescued as a stray Leon came to us with a rather severe upper respiratory condition which was treated successfully but it left him with chronic eye issues. We treat his eyes every now and then and also have to do our best to keep them clean.
Leon is a sweet cat who loves to play and keep in shape by running on our shelter treadmill!! He’s a real show off too! We do try and keep him on a diet as he loves to eat and will eat his food and everyone else’s if allowed to.
