DANIEL
Daniel came to us as a kitten with a myriad of health problems. He was in such bad shape that no one thought he would live. We took him in and never looked back.
Dan the Man is a very funny cat. He growls whenever anyone picks him up. His favorite volunteers compare his growls to a Mac truck down gearing. They like to brush Danny’s coat as it is long and luxurious but it does get matted. Dan gets so nervous when they do this that he pees like a nervous dog.
We discovered early on that Daniel could not jump. Not at all. He climbed everything. He could jump down but never up. Turns out he has a “chronic Luxating Patilla” in his right hind knee. It could be operated on but the cost is $2,500. and we just haven’t been able to raise the funds. He now has steps and easy ways to navigate our sanctuary.
Daniel also has high blood pressure and visits with our favorite pet cardiologist in Leesburg every 6 - 9 months.
When we rescued Daniel we made him a promise and that was to either find him a loving home or we’d take care of him the rest of his life. He deserves no less than that.
